For the past four years, I’ve been deeply involved in digital transformation, working in digital transformation environments for four years at Die Presse, where I spearheaded the digital transformation of the native advertising portfolio. This involved not just integrating new tools but fundamentally rethinking workflows, fostering cross-team collaboration, and ensuring that digital-first strategies aligned with business goals. Yet, as any transformation leader knows, the learning never stops.

That’s why I recently completed a four-month certification in Digital Transformation Management—an experience that has expanded my perspective on scaling transformation, leading cross-functional teams, and leveraging new strategic frameworks.

Refining Strategy with Fresh Insights

While I had already worked extensively with agile methodologies, AI-driven solutions, and product management, this course provided new insights into scaling these concepts beyond media. I explored case studies on transformation across industries, gained a deeper understanding of digital governance, and refined my ability to assess and implement emerging technologies in complex organisational structures.

Key Takeaways: Strengthening My Digital Toolkit

Rather than just reinforcing what I already knew, this course helped me refine and broaden my approach to transformation. Some of the key insights included:

  • Scaling AI & Automation: Moving beyond experimentation to integrating AI in a way that aligns with long-term business objectives.

  • Holistic Agile Approaches: Applying agile methodologies beyond product teams to drive company-wide adaptability and resilience.

  • Digital Governance & Ethics: Addressing the challenges of compliance, security, and ethical considerations in digital innovation.

  • Change Leadership at Scale: Implementing frameworks to guide organisations through digital transitions more effectively.

Applying This Knowledge

This certification has strengthened my digital transformation strategy, offering fresh approaches to enhance business workflows, AI adoption, and agile implementation across industries. Whether it's optimising organisational workflows, driving AI-powered solutions, or fostering a more adaptive company culture, I now have a stronger foundation to lead transformation at a higher level.
